CHAPTER FOUR

W hen I found my way to the game room after getting lost twice — Ronnie’s directions were not detailed and her home is a maze — Clare and Tara were arguing about a Temple of Ooodooo or something. I wasn’t really paying attention. Instead, drawn to the petite auburn goddess curled up on one of Ronnie’s lush, burgundy leather couches. Glittering silver silk draped over slender thighs, wrapping around a slight frame. “Evening, Sara,” I whispered, carefully sinking into the plush red leather next to her with a grin.

Her downcast gaze snapped to attention, eyes becoming a bright shimmering amber. “M-Mike!” Her pout spread wide into a beaming smile, and I instantly knew why her keepers kept her locked away. She was the embodiment of purity, and so stunningly beautiful, I actually felt the chemicals in my brain reacting... as well as my dick. “You came back.” My eyes dipped momentarily to her cleavage in the strapless dress. Like her, her breasts were petite, but on her small, athletic frame, they appeared to fill out the dress perfectly.

“Of course I did,” I said, smiling wider. “They told me you’d be here.” I didn’t know if it was the right thing to say after what Ronnie told me, but Sara looked so adorably sad when I entered the game room. I needed to see her smile.

Her lips became an O, before returning to the incredible smile. It was the smile that sunrises are made of. Quickly, she looked down as a flush bloomed across her cheeks. “I-I’m glad you came, but, but...”

She trailed off into silence, staring at the bare foot she had crossed over her calf — keeping it off the floor. My gaze trailed down the curves of the dress, down her smooth legs, to her adorable toes. She definitely had dancer’s arches, that was for sure. “You’ve hurt your foot.”

Her gaze snapped up. “How, did...” She sighed. “Ronnie told you.” Her pretty amber-brown gaze flicked between me and her foot. “It’s not that bad, just a slight sprain, but everyone is babying me... like they do everything else,” she whispered.

I raised an eyebrow at her, unable to help myself. “From where I’m sitting, you’re clearly not a baby.” I froze as soon as I’d said it, unbelieving those words left my mouth. Sara’s lips parted in an O shape again, her gaze slowly trailing across the space between us to the hardness tenting my jeans. I waited, holding my breath. It could have gone either way, but after what felt like an eternity of charged silence, her gaze traveled higher, and her pout shifted into a new smile. This one was a lopsided grin that scrunched her left cheek.

“I’m glad someone feels that way,” she whispered, and I let out the breath as casually as I could.

“Does it hurt?” I asked, quickly moving on from my total lack of game... or maybe not, because Sara wasn’t looking sad anymore, instead she looked ... curious? Mischievous? I couldn’t tell.
